What was the highlight of Hostal Abami II
Great value, functional room, clean with good WiFi. Great location for exploring Madrid
The room was clean and functional with plenty of space for one. The en-suite was clean and well maintained. I have stayed at the Hotel Abami previously so knew what to expect.
A minor thing, the room was on the second floor of the property and the building does not have a lift. Good for keeping my step count up, but occassionally it's nice to take a ride! As ever with these hotels, where rooms have been built into an existing property, the sound insulation between rooms is not the best, it's not a big issue for me, but if you were a ligtht sleeper, you might this an issue. Similarly, my room was at the front of the property and street noise can filter in.

Convenient basic accommodation at a great location
- Located in a beautiful old building with a nice wooden staircase; the location is in the artistic and charming Malasana area and very close to the mesmerizing Gran Via and the center of Madrid; easy access to public transport, i.e. the subway stations Santo Domingo and Noviciados - Nice convenient and well maintained place equipped with all the basic amenities, pleasant modern design on the inside, nicely smelling, overall clean - Friendly personnel
- Very thin walls, you hear not only the other guests and the noise from the street but even the washing machine in the building working - No elevator - good to consider for the ones with heavy luggage or the elderly, since there are a lot of stairs to climb - The amenities and furniture could be better; the bed frame was very light, so the bed was very easy to move by just touching it; you can't keep the fridge on once you leave the room because of the access card you have to take with you; I don't think the TV was working, I tried to put it on once with no success, but it didn't bother me anyway. - The reception is not 24/7, as stated; when going out I forgot my keys to the front door and there was no one to be reached either on the bell nor on the phone; luckily I saw a guest on one of the balconies who opened the door for me

What was the highlight of Hostal Abami II
Small bed and room, for one night ok
The staff was very friendly and the check-in process easy. It was clean and the location really central, with quiet rooms. It was great that we could leave our luggage after checkout.
The bed is pretty narrow and short. The bedding and the towels smelled heavily of laundry detergent. The shower head didn't stay upright, so you have to manually hold it.
